My favorite books
(The sounds of silence- Disturbed) It is no secret that one of my passions is reading. For those who did not know, haven’t you seen the background of this blog? don't you know me? Well, the point is that I consider that the reason I like reading so much, is because I have found very good books that made me fall in love with this habit and that also helped me a lot to learn languages. Having said that, here is a list of my ten books or sagas of favorite books. Needless to say, I recommend these (We are the champions-Queen) works to all my readers. I will not give summaries or spoilers in case anyone wants to read them.
1. Harry Potter
I read these at least once a year. My mom read them to me as a little boy. They were the first "real books" that I read. Besides, the universe, the characters and the story created by J. K. Rowling are simply (The nights- Avicii) perfect.
2. The kingkiller chronicles
The guy who recommended this saga, just told me "do you want to read a book that will change your life? Read The name of the wind", the first book in the saga. And it changed my life. The author takes time to write them so I have never felt them forced and they are not like anything I have read before. I always recommend it and nobody ever reads it. (Smooth criminal- Michael Jackson)
3. Percy Jackson
These are light, easy to read and teach you a lot about Greek and then Roman mythology. I remember enjoying them quite a bit. They made me laugh a lot and helped me learn English.
4. Les misérables
This one is much heavier and it took me six months to finish, but it has some extraordinary passages and impressive moral conflicts. There is a lot of work behind and the story is phenomenal.
5. Fablehaven (Tears in Heaven- Eric Clapton)
This is a fantasy. When I read them, the story captivated me very quickly, I fell in love with the characters and it made me want someone else to read them to be able to comment. I went through them like a hot knife through butter, each one was better than the last. It is beautifully written.
6. Princess bride
This is one of the few cases in which the movie and the book are at the same height. I saw the movie before reading the book but both seem extraordinary to me, even if they are somewhat different, each one has its own charm. The title is very cheesy but you can't miss it.
(Baba yetu- Christopher Tin) 7. Racing in the rain
A book written from the perspective of a dog. It is a beautiful book.
8. Flatland
This book makes you question reality a bit. Handles some complicated but very interesting concepts.
9. The chronicles of the tower
I read these in third grade and they seemed very good. It is a form of magic that simply goes well, the characters are very good (You know-Reik), the story is spicy and there is some study behind certain rules of the "possible within the impossible".
10. Fantasmas, espectros y otros trapos sucios
The best scary stories I've read to date.
Here are some honorable mentions:
I am number four
El libro salvaje
The Martian
Flowers for Algernon
Neverwhere
The Anansi boys

Septimus Heap
